Georgia Koufioti is a graduate of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds two postgraduate degrees (University of West Attica and  International Hellenic University) in the fields of health, environment, bioeconomy, and biomedicine, with specializations in the management of natural and man-made disasters, bioethics, public health, and health unit administration. She has certified pedagogical training from ASPAITE, speaks five foreign languages fluently and knows the Greek Sign Language. She has worked as an administrative officer in public sector organizations. She has published a significant number of studies and has participated in both national and international conferences. Her doctoral research focuses on Bioethical and Administrative Challenges in the Use of Neurogenetic Data for the Organization of Occupational Therapy Units for Patients with Neurodegenerative Diseases, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Georgia Tsakni (Department of Occupational Therapy). The study explores the complex ethical and administrative parameters arising from the management of sensitive genetic data and biomarkers within the framework of occupational therapy care.
