The Department of Occupational Therapy had the honor of hosting two distinguished professors from Sweden, Dr Susanne Guidetti, Professor in Occupational Therapy and Dr. Mandana Fallahpour, Associate Professor and International Academic Coordinator at the Department of Occupational Therapy at Karolinska Institutet. During their visit, the professors delivered a presentation about their department, offering valuable insights and knowledge to our students.
The presentation focused on the educational and research activities at Karolinska Institutet, highlighting international collaborations and innovative approaches in Occupational Therapy. Our students responded very positively, as the opportunity to learn about the work and practices of one of the leading health universities in the world was a significant experience for them.

As part of the Erasmus+ program for teaching staff, a visit was carried out to Karolinska University in Sweden by Ms. Ioanna Giannoula-Katsouri, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy, and Ms. Maria Kouloumpi, Lecturer in Practice of the same Department.
The visit included teaching activities for the students of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Karolinska University, fostering the exchange of knowledge and best practices between the two institutions. At the same time, the foundations were laid for strengthening academic collaboration and developing joint research initiatives.
This presence further contributed to the internationalization of the Department of Occupational Therapy, promoting the establishment of strong partnerships between the two universities.
